According to officials, a 4-month-old baby girl has passed away in a motel in New York City that houses immigration seekers.
Authorities stated the infant was discovered unresponsive and lifeless inside the Stewart Hotel in Midtown at 7:32 a.m. on Thursday. A police spokesman identified the infant as the child of a migrant family.
The Bellevue Hospital declared her deceased.
Despite the absence of any obvious criminal activity, the reason for death will be determined by the medical examiner, as stated by the police.
In November, the Stewart Hotel, which had been serving as an emergency refuge for the New York City Department of Social Services, became a migrant center.
