- The Selma Lion’s Club is hosting the 64th annual Central Alabama Fair from November 1-5 this year. The fair opens on Wednesday and runs through Saturday.
- Alabama News Network Chief Meteorologist Shane Butler helped officially open the fair on Tuesday. Alexander Broadcasting, one of our radio collaborators, has made it feasible for us to add a new stage this year.
- Fair hours are 5:30 PM to 10 PM (Monday through Friday) and 1 PM to 10 PM (Saturday).
- There will be food provided by the Gospel Tabernacle, bingo hosted by the Meadowview Christian PTO, dunking from the Crosspoint Christian Church, a petting zoo provided by Tickled Pink, and an arts and crafts display from area first graders. The Autaugaville band Shackleford Lane will be playing.
- Get your tickets at the door for $6 each. We do not charge for children under 36 inches in height. To view the schedule and purchase a wristband, click here.
