22-Year-Old Man Allegedly Stabbed Woman To Death Near Hiking Trail

A 22-year-old man named Zion William Teasley was arrested after being accused of murdering 29-year-old woman Lauren Heike near a hiking trail in Phoenix.

Authorities revealed that the victim was found dead near a hiking trail almost a half-mile from her house and suffered from 15 stab wounds and other defensive wounds on her hands, suggesting that she tried to fight the 22-year-old man back or might have been caught in a barbed wire fence before her death.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that the 22-year-old man did not sexually assault the victim, making his motive for killing her remain unclear, AP News reported.
