On Thursday, Geter Rhymes pleaded guilty in court to second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Gary Watson in 1985. The victim is married and a father of three.
The suspect in the stabbing incident was initially charged with first-degree murder.

The stabbing incident victim’s body was found on March 13, 1985, in his apartment. Police reanalyzed the evidence gathered and interviewed more than 200 witnesses.
Geter Watson Rhymes, accused of stabbing Gary Watson, will be sentenced in court this July 14. The suspect asked for five years imprisonment under the plea deal.
