Three Immigrants Arrested in Connection with Child’s Death
Three immigrants were arrested by ICE Boston agents for charges related to the death of a 1 year old child in Rhode Island. The 3 immigrants that was arrested who were from Portugal and in the U.S. unlawfully were charged with child endangerment. Police found the child unresponsive at their home and he was later declared dead at a hospital. The three immigrants were released on bail but the child alleged father remains in custody.
The immigrants that arrested were in the U.S. without permission. One had been here for more than 25 years after her visa expired and the other two had overstayed their visa waivers. The child father faces serious charges including manslaughter and child abuse. ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations ERO is responsible for enforcing immigration laws in the U.S.
