Individuals who attempt to enter US Military Bases without official clearance are “gate-crashers”

The Wall Street Journal said that Chinese nationals were discovered entering a U.S. missile range, US Military Bases in New Mexico and appearing to be scuba divers swimming in muddy waters close to a U.S. government rocket launch site in Florida while occasionally posing as tourists.

Report from NEWSMAX said that in most cases, individuals who attempt to enter American military bases and other locations without official clearance are referred to as “gate-crashers.”

According to U.S. authorities, the people are typically Chinese citizens who have been coerced into duty and are compelled to report back to Beijing. Officials acquainted with the strategies claim that when approached by security personnel at the bases, the trespassers speak in what appears to be rehearsed language.

The instances seem to be an attempt to evaluate the effectiveness of security procedures at federal and US Military Bases

According to The Journal, the instances increased when a Chinese balloon carried what authorities claimed to be surveillance equipment overflew the United States earlier this year.

Liu Pengyu, a spokesperson for the embassy: The aforementioned charges are nothing more than malicious fabrications

According to the news source, a review was conducted by the FBI, the Defense Department, and other agencies last year in an effort to reduce instances.

China’s embassy in Washington, D.C., disputed the American account of the events.

According to Liu Pengyu, a spokesperson for the embassy, the aforementioned charges are nothing more than malicious fabrications. They call on the appropriate U.S. officials to put an end to baseless charges, get rid of the Cold War mindset, and take more actions that will strengthen the friendship and trust between the two peoples.

Congress may consider legislation to stop future incidents, according to Rep. Jason Crow of Colorado, because most trespassing laws are state and local rather than federal.

According to the Journal, Crow, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, stated that in order to properly educate and equip them, we must cooperate closely with our state and local allies. They are currently unsure on how to handle it.

The occurrences have varied from the innocent—consumers looking for the closest fast-food joint, which Google Maps indicates is on a base—to the unsettling.

Recently, a group of Chinese people who claimed to be tourists and have reservations at a hotel on a base at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, were involved in an incident. The intruders attempted to force past the security, reports from The Wall Street Journal.
