To be honest, most individuals just toss their receipts. But if you use Fetch, you can just scan your receipts and get instant discounts on your purchases. It is compatible with a wide range of retail outlets.
But is there any evidence that it actually helps? Is it risky to use this app? Below, we’ll go over some of the most often voiced praises and criticisms of Fetch. Additionally, learn if the app’s prospective earnings are worthwhile.
How does the Fetch Rewards system function, and what is it?
The Fetch Rewards app is a rapidly expanding consumer loyalty program headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. As of April 2021, one billion receipts had been scanned by Fetch Rewards.
Explaining the inner workings of Fetch Rewards:
With the Fetch Rewards app, you can earn points toward free gift cards just by uploading your receipts from participating retailers.
Where does Fetch Rewards get its funding from?
Using Fetch Rewards doesn’t cost you a dime. Its primary source of revenue comes from endorsement deals with corporations like KraftHeinz and PepsiCo, which are featured in the app.

To What Extent Does Fetch Rewards Supersede Ibotta?
In comparison to Ibotta, Fetch Rewards requires less effort and time to use. The welcome bonus on Ibotta is larger, there are more methods to earn, and the redemption options are more adaptable.
- Stores like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and many more provide gift cards as an option for shoppers.
- Just click the “Rewards” button at the very bottom of the screen. The following are the methods by which you may cash in your points:

- Pick the type of gift card and its value, then click “Redeem.”
- Gift cards can be redeemed by selecting the “Rewards” icon and then the “My Rewards” tab.

It’s worth $1 for every 1,000 points you have
With Fetch Rewards, you may expect to receive $1 for every 1,000 points you accumulate. Beginning at just 3,000 points, you can trade in your rewards for a gift card.
Later in this piece, I’ll go into more detail on the most convenient ways to cash in your gift cards.
In the space of ten seconds, you can upload a receipt
Fetch Rewards is much simpler to use than Ibotta, which is why I suggest it.
- Just by uploading your receipt to the Fetch Rewards app, you will instantly be rewarded with points. Not a single thing requires scanning a barcode or revealing a secret code.
- Scanning receipts is free, but you’re limited to 35 per week and must do so within 14 days of the purchase date.
- Taking a picture of your receipt and submitting it through the Fetch Rewards app usually only takes approximately 10 seconds. In the following YouTube video, I show you how it’s done.
You can accumulate points in Fetch Rewards in many ways:
Unique Deals
- In any one time period, the Fetch Rewards app will typically have dozens of Special Offers accessible. You can earn extra points by uploading a receipt that includes a participating item.
- Gaining 1,000 to 5,000 points, or $1 to $5, in a short amount of time is a breeze.
- Over the past several months, I’ve seen a rise in the number of these offers that condition point accrual on purchases made at a designated store (such as Walmart, Amazon, etc.). Don’t go shopping without reading the fine print first!
- GoodRx, a medication savings program, is one such offer that comes up regularly.
- Show your pharmacist the digital GoodRx card in the Fetch app to get a discount on your prescriptions and at least 1,500 Fetch Rewards points every time.
Names of Brands Taking Part
- Buying specific name-brand products is another way to rack up the points in your Fetch Rewards account. Fetch has partnered with over 300 brands, making it easy to accumulate points with every purchase you make.
- You can see a list of these brands at the top of the Discover page, but I don’t typically base my shopping habits on them.
- When you shop from the list of participating brands, it’s difficult to predict how many points you’ll get. On rare occasions, I’ll get 100 or 200 points for each item, but usually, it’s only 50.
Shop Around for Your Groceries
The Fetch Rewards program is open to anyone, regardless of whether or not they regularly purchase things from nationally recognized brands. At a minimum, each purchase made at the following establishments will net you 25 points:
Wholesalers of Food Products
- Supermarkets
- Retail warehouse clubs
- Hardware and home-improvement shops
- Those places that sell pets
- Liquor establishments
- Retail outlets that are both quick and easy to use
- All other Retail Receipts
- Needless to say, 25 is the bare minimum required. Additional points will be awarded if your purchase receipt contains a Special Offer or an item from a participating brand.
Everywhere Else That Retail Is Successful
Uploading receipts from other stores or restaurants will also earn you points in Fetch Rewards. In June 2021, the lowest possible score for such transactions will rise to 25 points from the previous low of 5.

- Huggies points are in addition to Fetch Rewards’ regular point system and any Special Offers to which you may be entitled.
