Panthers Bryce Young, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft and the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner took the field for the Carolina Panthers against the New York Jets on Saturday

The 5-foot-10, 204-pound Panthers Bryce Young quarterback faced challenges from the start, as he was hit on three of his seven dropbacks, including a blindside hit from defensive tackle Solomon Thomas. However, Panthers Bryce Young demonstrated resilience by bouncing back after the hit.

The Jets, led by starting quarterback Zach Wilson, dominated the first half, outgaining the Panthers 189-32 and taking a 13-0 lead by halftime.

Wilson completed 14 of 20 passes for 123 yards and even connected with backup tight end Kenny Yeboah for a 2-yard touchdown pass

Panthers Bryce Young, anticipated to be a game-changer, found his debut accompanied by visible offensive line difficulties, resulting in a conceded quartet of sacks within the initial three quarters. The game saw Panther’s seasoned reserve offensive tackle, Cameron Erving, exiting due to injuries in the right knee and ankle.

Jets’ third-string quarterback, Tim Boyle, bounced back post an interception, orchestrating touchdowns to tight ends EJ Jenkins and Zack Kuntz. Boyle’s stat sheet reflected a completion rate of 90% with 9 out of 10 passes successful, amassing 84 yards.

While Panthers strive to surmount offensive line woes and elevate their performance, the spotlight falls on Panthers Bryce Young. His unwavering resilience and expertise will play a pivotal role in the team’s quest to terminate a five-year playoff absence and establish dominance in NFC South.
