This action comes after Jamal Adams also engaged in physical conduct with an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant who was in the process of evaluating Seahawks wide receiver Jake Bobo for a potential concussion.
Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams has been fined $50,000 by the NFL following comments directed at a concussion doctor during last week’s game against Cincinnati
Replays indicate Jamal Adams repeatedly exclaimed, “He good!” as both the adviser and Bobo headed towards the medical roof for assessment. Notably, these videos did not capture any physical contact between Jamal Adams and the consultant.
During a 20-yard reception, Bengals safety Dax Hill delivered a forceful hit to Bobo, resulting in a penalty for unnecessary roughness. Bobo returned to the game after being assessed. This marks the second incident involving Jamal Adams and an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant in consecutive games.
These consultants are independent physicians designated to each team’s sideline to aid team doctors in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of concussions
In a Monday night game in Week 4 against the New York Giants, Jamal Adams was ruled out with a concussion and was subsequently caught on camera berating a consultant on Seattle’s sideline. While the NFL deliberated potential discipline for the seasoned defender, Jamal Adams publicly apologized and ultimately faced no penalties.
