In a historic move, the much-anticipated unveiling of this prestigious recognition took place on Tuesday, showcasing a star-studded first class that not only features the iconic trio but also pays homage to the remarkable 1995-96 team, renowned for its extraordinary 72-10 record and NBA championship victory.

Basketball legends Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman have been announced as the inaugural inductees into the Chicago Bulls’ Ring of Honor

The distinguished list of honorees extends beyond players, encompassing influential figures such as Phil Jackson, Jerry Krause, Artis Gilmore, Jerry Sloan, Toni Kukoc, Bob Love, Chet Walker, Johnny “Red” Kerr, Tex Winter, and Dick Klein. This inaugural class represents a pivotal era in Bulls history, where these individuals played integral roles, contributing to the team’s legacy.

Bulls President Michael Reinsdorf expressed his excitement, stating, “The Chicago Bulls Ring of Honor will be a first-of-its-kind celebration honoring many of the legends who have helped shape our organization over the past 57 years. ”

To commemorate this milestone, the Ring of Honor festivities will feature a private gala at the United Center on January 11

Interestingly, Warriors coach Steve Kerr, a key player on the 1995-96 Bulls team, will also be part of the celebration, adding another layer of significance to the event.

Looking ahead, the Bulls have outlined plans to expand their Ring of Honor every two years, with the next induction ceremony scheduled for 2026. To qualify for inclusion, players must meet specific criteria, including spending a minimum of three seasons with the team and being retired from professional basketball for at least three years. The Ring of Honor stands as a testament to the enduring impact of these basketball luminaries on the Chicago Bulls franchise and their enduring connection with fans and the community.
