Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski spoke with Kay Adams and dropped a tantalizing hint about a potential NFL comeback, singling out the New York Giants as his preferred destination

He underscored his interest in reuniting with his former coach Brian Daboll, who helms the Giants. Daboll, having previously served as the tight end coach for the New England Patriots, worked closely with Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski from 2013 to 2016.

During that fruitful collaboration, Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski’s star shone brightly, earning him the title of Comeback Player of the Year in the 2014 season. He also secured a spot on the first-team all-pro roster in both 2014 and 2015, showcasing his remarkable talent with impressive statistics: over 1,100 yards and more than 10 touchdowns in each of those seasons.

Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski’s statement that “Brian Daboll wants me on his roster” appears to be a tribute to his former mentor rather than a definitive announcement of his return

Yet, his history suggests that the line between retirement and return can blur. After retiring once before, Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski staged a triumphant comeback with the Buccaneers, culminating in consecutive Super Bowl appearances, including a victory in the first outing.

Whether this hints at an imminent return or remains a nostalgic nod to a former coach, the NFL community remains intrigued by the possibility of Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski gracing the field once again, potentially donning the colors of the New York Giants.
