‘Refuge’ for child transgender surgery and medications as a wave of blue states emerges

Many blue states have approved laws that make it possible for kids to get transgender medical procedures and medications, frequently without their parents’ awareness or permission.

Much of the legislation is meant to offer doctors that deliver the treatments legal protection and to let kids follow such a medical path on their while still requiring insurance to pay for it.

Both California and Minnesota promoted their child transition policies as turning their states into a “refuge” for patients and medical professionals.

According to Jessica Anderson, executive director of Heritage Action for America, “The Left is in ignorance that innovative treatments that destroy healthy organs and cross-sex hormones are harmful to youngsters and cause permanent emotional and physical damage.”

“Blue states like California, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Washington have introduced bills that take away parents’ ability to safeguard their kids by permitting institutions and guest homes to withhold information regarding the runaways’ gender from parents,” according to the Washington Post.
