Tuesday, investigators in the Manhattan district attorney’s Department requested the judge handling the criminal proceedings accusing former President Donald Trump for a protection order to stop him from officially releasing a portion of the proof from the inquiry.
In an application submitted by Assistant District Attorney Catherine McCaw, authorities urged the judge to make certain that the prosecution could only utilize finding documents at trials and that Trump could only examine the proof with the help of his attorneys.
Since there is a “risk” that the president will utilize the information “inappropriately,” McCaw claimed that “safeguards that ensure the authenticity of the information” are necessary.
McCaw stated, including Trump’s attacks towards his former personal attorney Michael Cohen and former national security legitimate, Alexander Vindman, the two of which presented evidence towards Trump in the past, that “Donald J. Trump possesses a prevalent and possibly single history of assaulting evidence, researchers, attorneys, hearing jurors, grand jurors, judges, and anyone else associated with legal actions towards him, putting those people as well as their households at a significant security risk.”
