LSU-Alabama Is Once Again a Major Matchup in The Eyes of The Ap Top 25!

Alabama-LSU is once again a major matchup.

LSU is No. 18 in the AP Top 25 presented by Regions Bank. The Tigers and No. 6 Crimson Tide are off next weeks before their SEC West matchup.

This will be the 30th time Alabama and LSU playoff with both ranked, the most of any SEC team and the fourth-most of all rivalries.

Michigan and Ohio State had 47 rated games. Both states have 42. Notre Dame and SC have 33. Tennessee-Florida and LSU-Florida are each 25.

Alabama and LSU were college football’s top rivals in the 2000s. They played 14 straight games (2007-19) rated.

This is the third longest stretch in any rivalry, after Florida-Tennessee (1985-2007) and Florida-Florida State (16 consecutive) (1990-2003).
