Before Mother’s Day, a Florida deputy who assisted in the delivery of an active baby on a highway side late the previous month reconnected with the child and her guardians.

On Friday, about 2 weeks ago baby Lexela was born in Plant City on Highway 60 by Hillsborough County Master Deputy Daniel “Red” Jones.

Along with her parents, Luis Lopez and Lexela Nolasco, Jones was seen carrying infant Lexela by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

‘Little Red’ is a cute nickname, however no, her real name is not Red.

On April 30, Nolasco’s water burst as she was traveling to Tampa General Hospital with the baby’s mom and dad. Lopez, who was in a panic after discovering they could not arrive at the hospital in time, looked for help on the road and came across Jones.

Jones said FOX13 Tampa, “5 minutes earlier we came up, I had my weapon on an individual pulling him out of his vehicle since he seemed like a fool.” “5 minutes later, I’m giving birth to a child in their car. Therefore, you simply never know. I suppose that’s the feeling of law enforcement.
