The plot, which centers on a cat-and-mouse game between a persistent, honorable prosecutor and a showman serial murderer, is standard fare for the genre but is expertly done, with a fun cast that will particularly appeal to audiences in Taiwan and other regional countries.

But, this one appears to have an unusually bright future. As was already established, it is an adaptation of Miyuki Miyabe’s work, whose body of work has already been extensively adapted for film and television and is a rich source of inspiration for future criminal series that may very well be of interest to the Big N.
As was also already mentioned, the streamer is constantly attempting to break into potentially lucrative areas, much like Taiwan.

Despite all of these factors, viewing numbers will undoubtedly be important. But, it appears Netflix is betting on the show’s success given their apparent marketing expenditures.
