With Arista Records signing them in 1989, the Braxton Sisters released “Good Life” in 1990. According to “Billboard,” the song peaked at number 79 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. LaFace Records signed Toni when Arista Records dropped The Braxtons.

On her first US Tour as a backup vocalist, Toni invited her sisters to join her, and they also starred in the music video for her 1993 song “Seven Whole Days.” It was only a matter of time before A&R Vice President Bryant Reid decided to move on to work for Atlantic Records, where he dragged the band along with him. After signing a three-album deal with Atlantic, the Braxtons parted ways with Traci in 1995; it was later revealed that she was pregnant when the trio was offered their record deal.
