Ryan Joseph Fitzpatrick (born November 24, 1982) is a former National Football League quarterback (NFL). Fitzpatrick began his career as the starting quarterback for nine separate teams, a record in the NFL. Additionally, he is the first player in NFL history to throw a touchdown pass and intercept a ball for eight separate teams at once.
When the St. Louis Rams selected Fitzpatrick in the seventh round in 2005, he was Harvard’s first quarterback to exceed 1,000 yards in a single season. He played four seasons for the Buffalo Bills before joining the New York Jets in 2015 and the Miami Dolphins in 2020, where he had two winning seasons. While playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018, he became the first NFL quarterback to throw for over 400 yards in three straight games.

Early Life
Fitzpatrick served as Neil Rose’s backup for the Crimson in 2001 and 2002 while he was pursuing a degree in economics at Harvard. To date in his career, he has completed at least 1,155 passes for 1,155 yards, eight touchdowns, and zero interceptions. 523 yards and five touchdowns on the ground in that season, as well.
Fitzpatrick took over the starting job in 2003 after Rose graduated. Fitzpatrick passed for 1,770 yards, 16 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in seven games as a junior. His club finished the season with a 7-3 record after he rushed for 430 yards and six touchdowns.
