Early Life
Mark M Davis was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 18, 1955, at the age of 66 years old. His mother and father are Al Davis and Carol Davis. Career
Mark took up Al’s position as managing general partner after Davis and his mother acquired the Oakland Raiders. He is the Raiders’ chief operational officer and is in control of the team’s day-to-day affairs. Whenever the team has meetings with its owners, Mark is the one who represents them.
It was decided by Davis to start looking for a new site for a new Raiders arena because their lease with the Oakland Coliseum was coming to an end and the facility had various concerns due to its age. However, in February of 2015, he stated that they would be partnering with the San Diego Chargers and their owner, Dean Spanos, to build an NFL stadium in Carson, California, which is located in Los Angeles County. An offer from the owner of the Los Angeles Rams, Stan Kroenke, competed and ultimately won out over theirs.
A Las Vegas stadium was later explored by Davis alongside Las Vegas Sands Corporation chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson, but after the finance was secured it was decided to move forward without Adelson’s involvement. This move to Las Vegas was made official by the NFL in March of that year.
The Las Vegas Aces WNBA team was purchased from MGM Resorts International by Mark in January 2021, and the deal was authorised by the NBA and WNBA in the month following. On August 31, 2014, following the arrest of San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald, Mark Davis made a public statement regarding the prevalence of domestic abuse in the league. Davis did not agree with Jed York’s decision to retain McDonald on the active roster, and he proposed that the league suspend any player arrested with pay while “the inquiry continues ahead.”
First of its type following public disclosure of the Ray Rice assault video, this plea for an instant suspension for players rather than letting individual teams make the call was made. There had been speculation about the Oakland Raiders starting negotiations with Greg Hardy, who had been convicted of domestic assault charges earlier that year, when Davis spoke out again in March 2015.
The Raiders have long been public in their support of domestic violence initiatives, including the Tracey Biletnikoff Foundation, which was founded by NFL Hall of Famer Fred Biletnikoff to help community substance abuse and domestic violence programmes.

In September 2021, it was reported that Davis was developing a “Nevada mega-mansion that resembles the geometric lines defining his team’s practise facility, offices, and Allegiant Stadium.” In August 2020, Mark paid $6 million for the 6.32-acre property on which his 15,046-square-foot mansion sits. The Ascaya community is a gated one with only a few hundred residents. Mansion will include five bedrooms and ten baths and be worth $14 million, according to the city permission.
