Royalties
Jimmy Burrows, according to Hollywood folklore, earns $100 every minute from residuals alone, every minute of the day. If that’s real, and it’s possible it’s just a myth, that’s $144,000 per day… $50 million per year. It appears to be wild and unbelievable. He is, however, without a doubt one of Hollywood’s most successful figures.
Additional Achievement
Frasier, Friends, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Dharma & Greg, and Will & Grace were just a few of the many television success comedies directed by him in the 1990s. He directed a number of television shows between 2000 and 2010, including Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly, 2 Broke Girls, and Friends with Better Lives. Between 1980 and 2005, with the exception of 1997, he was nominated for fifteen Directors Guild of America awards and an Emmy award every year. He has won ten Emmy Awards as of this writing. Burrows is also recognized for increasing the number of cameras used in typical multi-camera television production from three to four.
