A man that shot a trooper in his arms in Mississippi was arrested on Thursday. An alert was already circulated throughout the state. Shooter identified as 23-year-old Stanley Self Jr.
Mississippi Trooper Shot on Tuesday Morning
23-year-old Stanley Self Jr. allegedly shot a Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper in the arm on Tuesday morning in Bolivar County along U.S. Highway 61. A “Blue Alert” status was already propagated throughout the state and considered Self Jr. as “armed and dangerous”.

Self Jr. was arrested on Thursday in an apartment at Brandon Complex. he was primarily charged with attempted murder and illegal possession of firearms and more charges is expected. The US trooper sustained a simple injury and will recover soon. Investigation is still ongoing.
