Woman In Florida Was Charged Of Child Endangerment, Child Abuse And Serious Bodily Injury After Crashing And Flipping Her Vehicle Many Times And Injuring Her Two Kids. She Fled The Crash Scene But Was Arrested Thereafter.

Two young children critically injured when their car was involved in an accident. Ashauntie Cox and her two kids were off to celebrate her son’s kindergarten graduation when they were involved in an accident that injured her children. they immediately fled the scene but was arrested on Friday. It was found out that Cox has been drunk while driving thus endangering her two kids, their car flipped many times.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office charged cox for child endangerment, drunk while driving, child neglect and abuse and damage to property. Investigation revealed that at about 8pm of Friday while traversing southbound on highway 27 she hit a pick-up truck with a high speed. Their car flipped several times, and the two children were thrown out of the vehicle, inside the vehicle was another woman aged 27, who suffered spinal, hip and back injury and was brought to Lakeland Regional Hospital in stable condition.

The children was then brought to Tampa General Hospital, aged 8 and 5 years old, both in critical condition, the driver of the other SUV was treated for minor injuries. Inside Cox’s vehicle found a Stach of marijuana and tequila. Cox was brought to a nearby hospital and admitted that she had taken marijuana and 4 shots of tequila earlier that day. Cox was taken into custody at the county jail as investigation is still on going.
