The 43-year-old actress and painter Kate Micucci, best known for playing Lucy on the popular television series “Big Bang Theory,” recently posted a private post on a video-sharing app. She disclosed in the video that she was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, but thankfully, her disease was successfully treated and eliminated.
Jersey City and Nazareth, Pennsylvania native Micucci was relieved that the problem was discovered early on. She said, “They detected it quickly.”
“Considering that I never had a cigarette before, I found it weird. Although unexpected, I assume these things do happen.”
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection claims that Micucci’s Pennsylvania connections could have contributed to her lung cancer, which was not caused by smoking.
