Getting Follow-Up Care Should be Prioritized for Seniors Who Suffer Serious Injuries from Falling

Getting follow-up care should reportedly be prioritized for seniors who suffered serious injuries from falling as they are prone to falling or tripping, wherein a simple accident can lead to fractures and fatal injuries, especially if they did not get any follow-up care.

According to a report published in US News, despite the increasing number of falls among seniors, healthcare facilities reported low follow-up care visits, adding to the already high number of hospitalizations and deaths for seniors who failed to get follow-up care.

While most seniors don’t go for follow-up care, some have gone to physicians and see them for follow-up care; however, not all doctors discuss ways to prevent falls or initial responses to make after falling that seniors should remember to reduce the high risk of hospitalizations or deaths.
