Eating gummy bears reportedly resulted in the hospitalization of seven elementary school students due to fentanyl contamination, wherein the affected students revealed they felt sick and experienced other severe symptoms after eating gummy bears inside a sandwich bag.
According to a report published in CBS News, one of the students who were hospitalized from eating gummy bears brought them to school to share the snacks with fellow students and friends; however, the students later felt ill and experienced vomiting and nausea after eating gummy bears.
Following the tragic incident, the affected students were immediately taken to hospital after eating gummy bears and fortunately recovered from the illness while authorities claimed that the students weren’t sick because of eating gummy bears, but it was due to the sandwich bag that was contaminated by fentanyl.

Ongoing Investigation Continues About Fentanyl Contamination to Students Hospitalized After Eating Gummy Bears Inside Sandwich Bag
After the hospitalization of the students after eating gummy bears, two people were arrested following a search warrant inside a home to investigate the fentanyl contamination that happened.
Authorities continued investigating the tragic incident to learn who else had felt sick after eating gummy bears or had close contact with the sandwich bag that was contaminated with fentanyl, AP News reported.
