The present Hot Cheetos prohibition in California is a new bill! If passed, Assembly Bill 418 will make it illegal for any sort of food to be produced, sold, or distributed in California if it includes red dye.
Meals and snacks that have been processed, such as hot Cheetos, Skittles, Honey Fruit Slices, and others, may include these substances. If approved, it will come into force in January 2025.
