The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said that bottles and cans will now have a 10-cent refundable value instead of just 5 cents as of January 1.
The dime will be refunded to customers who return the empty cans and jars to a store or redemption center.
Even though the price hike may not be visible on the label of some drinks, they are still going to be billed and reimbursed for the updated amount.
