Strategic Community Projects for 2024

Baptist Health‘s journey from its inception in November 1924 to its centennial in 2024 is marked by substantial growth. The health system, currently comprising hospitals in Louisville, Paducah, Elizabethtown, Lexington, Richmond, Corbin, La Grange, New Albany (Baptist Health Floyd), and a joint venture hospital in Madisonville, has expanded its reach to nearly 75% of Kentucky residents.

In honor of its 100th anniversary, Baptist Health is embarking on an altruistic venture – 100 Days of Service. This initiative aims to give back to communities through acts of service, health screenings, and career exploration. Each hospital within the Baptist Health network will focus on a healthcare-related theme every month, aligning activities with recognized community needs or addressing barriers to healthcare access.

Baptist Health’s commitment to community welfare is exemplified through strategic projects planned for 2024. From maternal health initiatives, heart health screenings, and colon cancer awareness to addressing food insecurity and conducting neighborhood cleanups, Baptist Health aims to make a positive impact on diverse aspects of community well-being.
