Troops and those who are homeless in Pennsylvania will not be affected by changes to SNAP eligibility which will shortly come into effect. The Food Stamp Program was the previous name for the SNAP program.
The debt ceiling deal, which President Biden approved in June, is going to result in a few minor adjustments to eligibility throughout the following year. The majority of the adjustments concern adults without dependents, which now includes those over 50.
People have to show for the federal program that these individuals are working a minimum of 80 hours per month and either pursuing an education or participating in a training program. Individuals who aged away from the foster care system, between the ages of 18 and 24, are now also excluded.
