Up to $300 in Tax Refund Checks to Provide Direct Payments to Eligible Taxpayers in Alabama as Part of $2.8 Billion Surplus Pot

Up to $300 in tax refund checks will be directly paid to eligible taxpayers in Alabama under the $2.8 billion surplus pot and almost two million eligible taxpayers, including low-income families can expect the state tax refund checks this December.

According to a report published in The US Sun, eligible taxpayers for the tax refund checks can expect to receive direct payments this December depending on the method of how they received their 2021 tax refund checks before; either by mail or direct deposit.

With the tax refund checks, eligible taxpayers will expect up to $300 in direct payments depending on their filing status, wherein single filers will receive $150 in tax refund checks while married couples or joint filers will expect $300.

Eligible Taxpayers Will Receive Tax Refund Checks in Alabama as Long as They Meet Criteria and File Taxes on Time

Following the announcement of the tax refund checks in Alabama, eligible taxpayers will receive direct payments as long as they meet the criteria and are able to file their 2021 taxes on time.

Alabama residents who need to update their information, including their addresses, are encouraged to do so immediately until December 29 to be eligible for the tax refund checks this December, AS reported.
