$141 Million TurboTax Settlement After Deceiving Millions of Customers

As part of the $141 million TurboTax settlement, almost 4.4 million nationwide customers, specifically low-income families, will receive payments in May after deceiving them of paying for tax services that are supposed to be free.

More than 122,000 eligible Michigan customers will expect over $3.5 million in payments and reportedly will receive from $29 to $30 payments each as part of the TurboTax settlement, The Center Square reported.

According to the report, the $141 million multistate TurboTax settlement was agreed upon by all 50 states and received a sign from the District of Columbia to settle the lawsuit filed against the tax group after tricking millions of their customers.
