The lucky number, 9-1-1-0-4, which adorned her license plate, began to appear repeatedly in various aspects of her life.
The lucky lady from Baltimore, a 50-year-old with a license plate that fate seemed to favor, has struck gold with a $1 lottery ticket, bagging an impressive $50,000 prize
Despite initially disliking them and even attempting a change, the numbers persisted, as if beckoning the lucky lady towards a windfall, according to Maryland Lottery officials.
The persistence of the numbers prompted the lucky lady to start playing them a couple of weeks ago. Despite doubts about the lucky lady’s chances, the September 10 drawing brought unexpected joy. A visit to a Baltimore convenience store and a $1 Pick 5 ticket led to a grand prize of $50,000. Overwhelmed with emotion, the lucky lady exclaimed, “I just started crying.”
The lucky lady’s husband, who verified the winning numbers, remarked, “It could not have come at a better time”
The couple, described as “extremely grateful,” claimed their windfall from Maryland Lottery Headquarters on September 12. Their plans for the prize money include settling bills and saving the remainder.
In a stroke of luck for Jack’s Fine Food, the retailer that sold the winning Pick 5 ticket in northeast Baltimore, they received a $500 bonus from the lottery. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that a Maryland resident has experienced a stroke of luck with their car tags. In a similar twist, an anonymous man secured a $25,000 prize last year by playing his younger brother’s license plate numbers.
