These are some cities spending funds for sheltering migrants

San Antonio, Texas, received over $24.5 million for sheltering migrants. Over 5,000 migrants have arrived in San Antonio, Texas, this June.

New York will receive $104.5 million in federal funding as over 70,000 migrants have arrived since last year. The state spends $8 million a day for sheltering migrants.

In Denver, Colorado, the city spends around $40 million this year on sheltering migrants, said to the Common-Sense Institute of Colorado.

Republicans argued the federal funding with non-profits that assist migrants. They said it only inspires more illegal immigration

The military approved the arrival of migrants with a campaign to fast-track their citizenship. The idea comes in response to employing shortages in the U.S. military.

The U.S. Air Force and Army are using some people to recruit migrants with similar backgrounds to help enlist them. This idea comes after they have not hit their recruiting goals for this year.
