Eligible Taxpayers Who Successfully Filed Their Tax Returns Will Get Up To $900 Unclaimed Tax Refunds

Several eligible taxpayers who have successfully filed their previous tax returns will receive up to $900 as part of the $1.5 billion unclaimed tax refunds from the 2019 tax year.

According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the unclaimed tax refunds reached a billion after the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact, which postponed the tax returns in the 2019 tax year, and several eligible taxpayers have already forgotten to file their previous tax returns.

The eligible taxpayers should file their previous tax returns because if they failed, they will no longer be entitled to it, and the unclaimed tax refunds worth $1.5 billion will become the Treasury’s property.
