The state of Georgia will distribute the Surplus Tax Refund in 2023 starting this May

Beginning this month, the State of Georgia will distribute the Surplus Tax Refund 2023 to eligible Georgia Residents.

Those Georgia residents who already filed their 2021 and 2022 tax refunds and have a tax liability for the 2021 tax year may be eligible for Surplus Tax Refund 2023. The claimers of Georgia Surplus Tax Refund 2023 are residents, non-residents, or part-time residents of the State of Georgia. Georgia Department of Revenue said.

Married Georgia residents filed jointly may receive up to $500: The Head of the house may receive up to $350: And individual taxpayers may receive up to $250. Department of Revenue said.

Visit Georgia State Website to know if you are eligible

Georgia Residents can see if they are qualified for the Surplus Tax Refund 2023 by checking the Georgia State website. The website requires the filer of his taxpayer identification or social security number and state gross income in 2022.

Eligible Georgia Residents may receive their Surplus Tax Refund 2023 in the same method a taxpayer’s regular refund is sent to Georgia Residents’ taxpayers. These can be via mail or direct deposit.
