New student debt relief will provide financial assistance to eligible residents in Florida under $39 billion in federal debt forgiveness.
New Student Debt Relief Will Aim to Provide Financial Assistance to Eligible Florida Residents Despite the Rejection of Biden’s Original Proposed Student Debt Relief
Following the disapproval of Biden’s original proposed student debt relief recently, another student debt relief will aim to provide over $3 billion in financial assistance to eligible residents in Florida, especially low-income families struggling to meet their basic needs.
Under the $39 billion federal student debt relief, fewer residents will be eligible for student debt relief in Florida, unlike what the originally proposed student debt relief aims as the relief will focus on residents with Income-Driven Repayment Plans (IDR) and loan borrowers in other Department of Education (DOE) programs.
With the new student debt relief, the administration claimed they would fill the gaps and correct the mistakes they have made with the proposed student debt relief before and revealed how eligible residents in Florida would benefit from the student debt relief, WTSP reported.
Eligible Residents Encouraged to Submit Application for Student Debt Relief in Florida
With the announcement of the new student debt relief coming, eligible residents in Florida are encouraged to submit applications for student debt relief to receive their part from over $3 billion in financial assistance.
Apart from the residents in Florida, other states, including California and Texas will also provide financial assistance under the student debt relief to eligible residents in need, The Hill reported.
