Rhode Island Food Pantry to Distribute Groceries and Fresh Local Food to Low-Income Families During Holiday Season

The Rhode Island food pantry is expected to distribute groceries and fresh local food to low-income families in different cities in the nearing holiday season as the Rhode Island food pantry aims to help them in addition to SNAP benefits they received amidst the increasing food prices.

According to a report published in Rhode Island Monthly, the Rhode Island food pantry seeks to help low-income families who cannot meet their basic needs every day, wherein the entire community works with the Rhode Island food pantry to provide for eligible beneficiaries, especially during the holiday season.

Aside from community programs, the Rhode Island food pantry has existed through the helping hands of volunteers and staff, who have always been there for struggling families not only for the holiday seasons but the entire year in the Rhode Island food pantry.

Rhode Island Food Pantry Continues to Distribute Food and Groceries to Struggling Families in Various Cities

With the increasing food prices, cities have started their own Rhode Island food pantry, where they distribute local food, of which the Department of Agriculture donates some.

The residents who have the means to donate something are encouraged to help the Rhode Island food pantry in their areas, which would be a big help for low-income families during the holiday season, The Brown Daily Herald reported.
