According to a TMZ report, a Georgia landlord didn’t give a rats’ ass about NeNe Leakes’ status after suing the reality star on Tuesday, August 15, for unpaid rent for Swagg Boutique.
NeNe was due a staggering $22,900 in unpaid rent for the retail space
In a report from Madamenoire, the unidentified petitioner filed the case in Fulton County, Georgia, asserting that NeNe was due a staggering $22,900 in unpaid rent for the retail space she leased at the Sugarloaf Mills shopping center from the landlord in order to open her now-defunct clothes shop, Swagg Boutique.
The 55-year-old former Bravo personality signed the lease contract in 2017 and extended it for another year in 2021, claims the plaintiff.
The landlord asserted that a letter seeking payment was sent to NeNe before legal action was taken.
Considering the aforementioned, landlord hereby wants payment in the amount of $22,900.75 within ten (10) days of receiving this letter, according to the letter, which was dated July 19, 2023, according to Radar Online. If you don’t pay this amount within ten (10) days of receiving this letter, the landlord will take any and all legal action available to him or her, including but not limited to seeking payment of back rent, charging reasonable legal fees and court costs in accordance with O.C.G.A. 13-1-11, and enforcing the terms of the Lease.
The landlord is suing for the unpaid rent, legal expenses, and court costs now that things have gotten to the point where legal action is being taken.

NeNe: Gregg was in charge of renting out the Swagg Boutique
For failing to pay the landlord the agreed-upon rent, many people were quick to condemn the former RHOA cast member negatively. The estimated value of NeNe is $14 million.
A commenter on a post from the Bravo Shade Room reminded everyone that NeNe was mourning the loss of her husband, Gregg Leakes, who passed away on September 1, 2021, from colon cancer, around this time (late August or early September). On Wednesday, August 16, he turned 16 years old.
Hollywood Unlocked reported that NeNe responded to the commenter and stated that Gregg was in charge of renting out the Swagg Boutique.
She claimed that Gregg, not I, signed the lease. He isn’t present.
NeNe just posted on Instagram to wish her soul mate a “Happy Heavenly Birthday.”
You would be consuming your favorite foods today, she wrote. chicken tenders and french fries. Due to that, she adores you. Every time, it was the little things about you that captivated me. More than words can express, she adores and misses you!
During the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, Swagg Boutique closed its doors. Before permanently closing the store, NeNe reopened it for a going-out-of-business sale to distribute the remaining inventory. While the shop’s website no longer functions, its Instagram feed is still active.
