Minneapolis City Council Killed Rent Control That Will Prevent Housing Building Despite the Absence of Three Muslim Council Members

The Minneapolis City Council killed the proposal of rent control despite the absence of three Muslim council members due to the Eid al-Adha holiday.

During the council meeting regarding the decision to approve or kill the proposal for rent control, three Muslim council members could not participate because they were out observing the religious holiday, but the council decided to proceed with the meeting.

Due to the negative impact that the rent control would give on the housing plans in the city, the council killed the proposed rent control without listening to the opinion of the three Muslim council members and knowing their side about killing or approving the proposal.
