Gov. Abbott and Lt. Gov. Patrick’s Rare Disagreement Over the Proposal for Texas Property Tax Relief
Following the proposal for the Texas property tax relief, Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick had a rare disagreement on how to reduce the property taxes for eligible taxpayers in Texas.
The governor proposed the $17.6 billion Texas property tax relief, which will mainly aim to help several taxpayers in Texas and reduce property taxes to zero as well.
However, the proposal for the Texas property tax relief headed by the governor only led to the disagreement between the two Republicans following the unclear details of how the property taxes will be cut in the state.

Several Lawmakers Criticize Gov. Abbott Following Texas Property Tax Relief
Aside from Lt. Gov. Patrick, several other lawmakers criticized Gov. Abbott after proposing the Texas property tax relief without presenting any specific and clear details about how the property tax in the state will be reduced, KXAN reported.
The lawmakers claimed that the Texas property tax relief plans should be explained and presented with documents to understand clearly what they should expect if the proposal is approved.
