Lawmakers said pursuing a Connecticut Child Tax Credit could impact 75 percent of families in the state. This is significant because currently, 39 percent of families in Connecticut are not able to make ends meet. Eleven percent of the families are living paycheck to paycheck or falling behind.
The $600 a Connecticut Child Tax Credit could help towards groceries and gas, said one parent. Lawmakers said that families in Connecticut will be positively impacted by the Connecticut Child Tax Credit if it is passed as law.
