The Pennsylvania Lawmakers passed a bill that will fulfill the requested budget of the Governor for the expansion of property tax and rent rebates.

Pennsylvania lawmakers passed House Bill 1100, which will provide property and rent refunds

The Pennsylvania lawmakers passed House Bill 1100 last Tuesday. The bill will expand the property tax and rent rebates program in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania lawmakers passed a bill that provides refunds for housing costs for seniors and persons with disabilities. The new bill has some adjustments, including the income cap from $15,000 for renters and $35,000 for house owners to $45,000.

The bill passed by the Pennsylvania lawmakers will raise the maximum refund amount from $650 per year to $1000.

Approximately 173,000 Pennsylvanians will benefit from the proposed bill

Pennsylvania lawmakers estimated 173,000 Pennsylvanians could benefit from the proposed Property Tax and Rent Rebates Expansion Bill.

The proposed Property Tax and Rent Rebates Expansion will help many senior citizens’ benefits and people with disabilities programs.
