Oklahoma Legislature agreed on a Historic Education Reform

Oklahoma Legislature has finally reached a deal on historic education reform. This deal includes teacher pay, teacher tax credits, and school funding.

Oklahoma Legislature settled to dispense $625 million in funding into public education. The $500 million is on the education formula, and the $125 million is to aid school facilities.

In the agreed funding by Oklahoma Legislature, $325 million will aid teacher pay increases. The $3000 salary of the teachers will increase to $6000, based on the years of experience of the teacher. The school district heads will choose how they will allocate the remaining funding.
