Several North Carolina leaders urged Congress to increase the funding for childcare in the state to address the decrease in childcare workers in the state due to lack of funding.
According to reports from ABC 11, North Carolina leaders believed that the decrease in the number of childcare workers in the state resulted from the lack of funding provided to the industry as the childcare workers sought more pay for doing their job.
The letter sent by the state leaders addressed the need for an increase in childcare funding because all families need to prioritize the early education and care of their children, with reliable childcare workers providing quality services by taking care of them well.
