Mobile Lottery App Becomes Legal in Minnesota to Allow Users to Buy Lottery Tickets and Claim Lottery Prizes Through Mobile Phones

A mobile lottery app called Jackpocket finally became legal in Minnesota after years of being considered illegal online gambling, wherein the mobile lottery app reportedly allows users to buy lottery tickets and claim lottery prizes through their mobile phones instead of buying lottery tickets in physical stores.

According to a report published in The US Sun, less than a month after the mobile lottery app became legal in Minnesota, a 20-year-old college student named Brandon Stevenson won $1 million after using the mobile lottery app to purchase an official ticket for Powerball, where he luckily won.

With the mobile lottery app, users, including Stevenson, could safely secure their lottery tickets and save time buying them, as the mobile lottery app has clear guidelines for purchasing the tickets and even claiming the prizes if they win.

Critics Claim Using the Mobile Lottery App to Purchase Lottery Tickets Should Be Illegal Following Its Availability in Some States

Despite the advantages of the mobile lottery app, critics claim that it should be illegal because the mobile lottery app could be harmful to consumers’ data if constantly used to buy lottery tickets.

Aside from Minnesota, the mobile lottery app is now available to other states, including Arizona, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Washington DC, to help lottery enthusiasts to buy lottery tickets wherever they are, Star Tribune reported.
