Several BIPOC First-Time Homebuyers Will Expect Relief Following the Launching of New Pilot Program Under the San Diego Housing Commission
Eligible middle-income BIPOC first-time homebuyers will expect relief after launching the new pilot program under the San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC), allowing them access to other homebuyer programs.
According to reports from ABC 10News, the new pilot program will aim to completely eliminate any racial discrimination and gap between BIPOC members and other races through granting them direct payments.
With the new pilot program under the SDHC, the current reports resurfaced regarding homeownership in San Diego, wherein whites owned more than 95% of households, while BIPOC has only 2% homeownership.
Eligible BIPOC Families Will Get Up To $40,000 While Purchasing Their First Home Under the Pilot Program
Under the pilot program, several BIPOC families will be eligible for up to $40,000 in total assistance when they purchase their first home, which will be a great help for them to lessen the cost of the down payment and the closing costs.
Apart from helping the BIPOC members with their housing payments, the pilot program will also address the increasing gap between several community members and promote equality.
