Military Veterans Will Expect Larger Retirement Tax Credit Following New Law
Several military veterans will expect to receive larger retirement tax credits after Maryland Governor Wes Moore signed House Bill 554 into law, raising the credit to $20,000.
The new law will provide eligible military veterans coverage for various services, including dental and health if they ever retire from the military service and change careers or go into businesses, WTOP News reported.
Although the retirement tax credits approved were only half of what was requested, military veterans will still receive larger credits and enough relief for themselves and their dependents after retirement, in addition to the services that will be provided by the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs.

Military Veterans Who Are Eligible for the Larger Retirement Tax Credit
Following the bill’s passing into law, here is more information about who is eligible for the larger retirement tax credit.
Military veterans below 55 will get a $12,500, while other military veterans aged at least 55 years and above will receive a $20,000 military retirement income.
The military veterans eligible for the new retirement tax credits will be able to start their own businesses and treat their families even after they retire- and they deserve it.
