According to a report published in GO Banking Rates, several lottery jackpot winners continued to claim their SNAP benefits even after winning millions or billions of dollars as states have failed to recheck the eligibility of SNAP beneficiaries, leading to more than 60,000 lottery jackpot winners continued claiming their benefits.
While the SNAP benefits are meant for low-income families who are struggling to get by every day, thousands of lottery jackpot winners continued to receive benefits due to the negligence of the state in removing the lottery jackpot winners from SNAP beneficiaries, which were supposed to be additional slots for families who are in need.
