Last Wednesday, House Republicans demanded the head of the Department’s Global Engagement Center to provide Congress with unredacted grand documents connected to the agency’s funding of a group that gives one of the “riskiest” channels for misinformation.
According to the House Republicans, the federal government has diluted initial amendment principles by working to censor certain viewpoints by proxy.
The Washington Examiner initially obtained the letter. The further House Republicans directed the staff briefing of the State Department agencies. They should have a valid reason for funding the London-based Global Disinformation Index before publishing blacklisted media outlets in December, including The Post, considered the libertarian-leaning opinion section.

According to the House Republicans, the federal government and Global Engagement Center (GEC) have been working with the private sector to use content removed from various internet platforms. The government prohibits imposing viewpoint-based censorship limitations.
