The Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas and all the city council members will expect a salary increase under the proposed 15% pay raise, which aims to provide the Kansas City mayor and the city council members the salary increase they deserve.
According to a report from Yahoo News, the Kansas City mayor will receive more than $150,000 yearly from his current salary of $141,455, while the city council members will expect a salary increase from $70,718 yearly to more than $80,000 if the proposed pay raise for the Kansas City mayor and city council members will take effect.
The salary increase allocated for the Kansas City mayor and the city council members will be part of a package, which will also provide pay raise for city workers and judges; and if the salary package is passed, it will be the first pay raise for the Kansas City mayor and members that will be implemented to the city.
Kansas City Mayor and Council Members Will Receive Salary Increases and Other Allowances if Passed
Following the annual 4% salary increases that have never passed, the current Kansas City mayor and all the city council members will receive a $15% salary increase if the package is passed.
Aside from the salary increase, the Kansas City mayor and all the city council members will also receive car allowances and other financial assistance to help them in their work.
